How to define “high quality” for products

In this industry（smoking accessories ) for many years, I often receive client requirements for products, such as high quality , shorter delivery time etc.

What impressed me the most was the quality. "High quality" is a standard that any client envisions achieving. However, it's actually a very abstract term. First, how do we define “high quality” ? Let me share some of my viewpoints

1.Quality = Fit for Purpose

Does the product's functionality meet the client's expectations. Does it perform well in actual use? I believe this is an essential characteristic of a good product. For example, a cigar cutter must be able to cut a cigar cleanly without tearing the wrapper. A windproof lighter can reliably light a cigar outdoors.

2. Material Quality & Craftsmanship

Whether the surface of the product is structurally stable, clean, and free of defects.For example, the stitching on a leather cigar case should be neat, without loose threads, and the logo should be clearly visible

3. Reliability & Durability

Good quality requires consistency between samples and bulk orders. Same quality from the first order to repeat orders

4. Unique Design and Scarcity

Some clients value product uniqueness; we can also provide limited-edition custom products.

5. Innovation

Product innovation is also a crucial factor in evaluating high-quality products. Classic products endure. Innovative products attract more customers.

In short, the product is good, but the supplier is better.

This is the true quality.
